The Broken Frame”, a short film directed by Sannidh Raychaudhuri and Sayan Roychowdhury is focused on the theme of “art never dies.” The film describes a passion for photography of a young man but who is forced to study for his medical degree by his parents which he has no interest in doing, causing for his mental breakdown. He tries to keep a stable mind and fight his pain of emotions emerging through within, but lastly fails, showing us, he finally gave up to the stress of studies.

No one stood by his side, not even his friends, girlfriend or mother as they feel of him to be a loser because he could not qualify to give the medical entrance exam. He tried to cope up but, in the end, with no one at his side, he gives away his life by hanging himself from the ceiling as we see a visual representation of his death with the camera lens aimed at his feet away from the ground as he trembles in fear.

When his last rituals are being performed by his father, he sets afloat his son’s personal diary on a nearby shore which gets picked up by a young kid and things turn quite interesting from this lapse of the movie.

The film is meant to be watched for the set of dreams it aims to achieve. A film having tremendous visuals and amazing acting through its path. The film goes through the logic of showing every small aspect in the film and even the lights and the atmosphere clearly define the whole ambience of the film. The surreal nature and the dark atmosphere tones with the background music and score of the film. A film to watch by every person.
