Consider this. You're dead, dressed as a Tip top Beat Specialist reject with your dormant behind adhering up to the moon in a back-rear entryway. Behind you, there's a red-haired young lady going to get shot by an obscure looking criminal with a shotgun. You can see what's going on for some reason, but you can't do anything about it.
That is, until you hear a voice inform you that you are only partially dead and not dead. In point of fact, you have evolved into a spirit capable of altering the fates of other things in the world. Additionally, you are able to communicate with other souls.
Ghost Trick’s: Phantom Detective is a remake of the original DS game by Sho Takumi, the mastermind behind Ace Attorney. You take on the role of Sissel, a ghost who passed away recently and had an enigmatic backstory that led to his death. He also has amnesia, so he thinks Lynne, the red-haired girl, is the best person to ask for help. The only drawback is that he will vanish completely from the world by sunrise.
The fact that the protagonist's fate is not the primary focus of the narrative is what I find most intriguing. Rather, it is to influence the characters involved in this mystery and bring closure to his own life.
Fortunately, one of your other "ghost trick" abilities is the ability to rewind time, in addition to manipulating real-world objects. Players can see how the entire scenario plays out without your intervention thanks to this. It's also a great feature because you can reset the puzzle without having to wait for the "game over" screen if you can't solve it in time.
