Tagore International Film Festival Presents Sun of the East Awards
SUN OF THE EAST AWARDS
Shantiniketan, 13th January 2023-Tagore International Film Festival, a highly known film festival hosted the large and astounding annual Sun of the East Awards in Shantiniketan, Bolpur. Mr. Shailik Bhowmik, founder of Tagore International Film Festival (TIFF) staged the 3rd Annual Sun of the East Awards.
TIFF is a place for all the talented and innovative filmmakers to come out of their nests and show their work to a larger audience. The filmmakers who are winners in the film festival receive certificates, prizes and trophies and also a certain section in the Cult Critic Magazine, which is an international film critic’s publication.
The annual gala and screening of TIFF was held on 13th January 2023 at Utsarga Mancha auditorium, Shantiniketan.The venue was set with a marvelous red carpet and a welcoming atmosphere. Filmmakers from all around the globe like India, Spain, Toronto, USA and many other countries had come to take part in this huge annual event.
The film festival director of TIFF initiated the annual event by declaring her speech. The movie screening section of the program started soon. Judges from around the world had chosen some specific films to be screened in every film event from a sea filled with submissions based on content, genre and duration. The annual gala screened approximately twenty films throughout its film festive duration. During the screenings, films were applauded by various other filmmakers and also some wise words by filmmakers on their creativity and amazing ideas.
When the screening time was over, the award ceremony started. It was time for a panel discussion, being the most important and exclusive section of the film festival. The panel discussion delivered an idea of every filmmaker’s journey and their beautiful ideas that shed light to their thoughts and how special they are, and how they want the audience to look at their creativity when they see their films. Each filmmaker’s expertise and experience gathering session was appealing to hear.
With the end to an informative panel discussion, it was time for a photo session. Ending the event with a group photo with every filmmaker and film crew in the frame, followed by them sharing their experiences throughout the Annual Gala they witnessed that day.
