CAT'S PICK : ★ 8.0
Aditya Shastri wrote the movie's story, and Sankalp directed it. The film gets going great, however soon the screenplay and the portrayal neglects to keep us locked in. Except for one chase scene, the first half of the film lacks anything that would keep you watching. Also, the film moves slowly in the first half, and after a while, it starts to bore you.
However, the movie improves significantly in the second half. After the intermission, there are numerous edge-of-your-seat moments that will make you eager to know what comes next. However, despite the excellent second half, we cannot overlook the drab first half. Sankalp's film The Ghazi Attack, which was also based on real-life events, has made him famous. IB71, on the other hand, is unable to have the same impact as The Ghazi Attack.
Vishal Jethwa is the star of the show on the stage. He has a fantastic role, and he does a fantastic job playing it. Although Vidyut Jammwal does a good job in his role, his fans will definitely miss his action in this movie. As usual, Anupam Kher is flawless, and Dalip Tahil's cameo makes an impression. Background music plays a crucial role in edge-of-your-seat thrillers, and in IB71, the music is just right to give you an adrenaline rush during certain scenes.
