Asur 2 moves forward with the search for a mastermind who manipulates myths and technology by killing and brainwashing people. The story moves forward with the pain that the characters have experienced, both literally and metaphorically. As time goes on, the playground gets bigger, and Shubh now uses technology to carry out his plans as he plays out the mythical tale of Kali versus Kalki.

Asur is a meaty idea that is also risky because it uses real mythology to tell a story that not only resembles stories about Gods and their vision from ancient times, but also kind of leaves it up to the audience to decide which side they choose. It is a lucrative story now that police officers aren't just running behind a shadow, they are also realizing that the shadow has made small pockets of him and that they are running the show with him. In season 2, we see the folklore of the Kali and Kalki story, innovation, and noir all approaching together to give us a fascinating watch.

One can see the change in writers influences the pith of Asur all through the show. The attention to detail that the first season offers goes completely for toss, but that does not render it unwatchable. Like Nikhil and Nushrat's dynamic, the season 2 totally fails to remember the plot about the missing fingers. We see flashes, but no one ever talks about that part. Wasn't it a crucial aspect of the narrative? Asur 2 has a significant portion that feels out of place. It is too much to believe and connect with the show's content if the victims are given remotes with red and blue buttons and told to choose. It makes him a character and a god, but his build isn't strong enough for us to root for him in the next season.

Asur comes up short on beguile that the notice of each and every fanciful story got in season 1. The Tumbbad-like narrating is altogether abandoned however we keep thinking about whether it would have still been conceivable with the old plan.
