A story that is thrilling and quite uncommon is what we as the audience. Suicide 101 by Randy Zuniga is all about a sister who wants the complete possession of the inherited property. A teacher who encourages others for attempting suicide and believes death is the best way to get out from the harshness of life. Suspense and mystery are the key elements that are nearly ubiquitous in this script. While going through the script I found the story quite uncommon and thumb up to the scriptwriter. The best way to attract an audience is a fantastic script that is uncommon and can hold the audience throughout the potentially made movie. Randy Zuniga has created a fabulous psychological thriller, murder mystery and crime investigation script where Jared, a sociopathic suicide support group leader helps to drive a twenty-something-year-old Simon to leap off the roof of his apartment building. An already fragile Simon had been attending Jared’s support group for months recommended to him by his sister. Andrew is a new attendee to Jared’s support group after his recent stint with some of his wife’s sleeping pills. He claims he took the entire bottle out of pure boredom. He’s the only one who writes notes during the group meetings. While supposedly trying to support everyone in their time of need, Jared usually ends up reminiscing about the different ways he’s attempted to take his own life. The mystery of murder leads Andrew to join the group and finally, he and Rita discover the truth behind Simon’s murder. When Rita leaves Andrew alone to meet her friend, Andrew takes the chance and calls up Jared. Home alone with Jared on the phone, temptations start to take over. Jared encourages Andrew to indulge and hangs the phone up on him. A scared Andrew calls Jared right back, but he doesn’t answer. Andrew turns off a recorder. He had been taping the entire call. And what Jared didn’t know, Rita isn’t Andrew’s wife. She’s his partner. They throw open the classroom doors with their police badges drawn and a group of uniformed cops behind them. Thus, this reveals the truth of murder in the face of suicide. Jared gets arrested for suspected accessory to murder and conspiracy to commit a crime. Finally, it all ends up a breath-taking complete circle that wraps a crucial element up. The script is well written and if the director has a keen eye, the script can turn into an excellent film. Let’s hope for the best and keep wishing that Randy Zuniga comes up with more thrilling scripts. Suicide 101 in on the spot in al the right places. It has intrigue and a perfect story to keep the audience wrapped to their sits until the very last moment. A script truly worth of turning into a film.
