Fall

REVIEWS
Cult Critic Fall

Directed by Vigil Bose | Review by Riya Saha

What do you look for in a movie? Something that is really intriguing, some unique storyline, some great characters and of course, the cinematography. The audience no longer loves the same stories where a boy or a girl just ‘FALL’ for each other. Nor they like some crappy story which is a big bore. Rather now it's time to ‘FALL’ for some mystery and suspense. Being a Senior Information Technology Executive and a Management Consultant, Vigil Bose, the Director of ‘F A L L’ made suspense come alive in an explosive maze. A fresh perspective that can get your adrenaline pumping, the heart racing, and the emotions peaked.

Wondering what can be the story? Well, it’s just a matter of 20 minutes and the movie is a promise that you won’t feel bored. FALL is a complete suspense and a mood setter. The director has been successful in creating a beautifully picturesque and the visuals are well matched with sound effects. Though watching the movie, you will keep wondering what comes next, you also won’t be able to deny the amazing aesthetic view of the background. It is surely a tour to the scenic beauty of the United States. With his film ‘F A L L’, the film director Vigil Bose aims to portray the psychological trauma that undercover operatives endure on their return from high-risk deployments. The movie also offers a sneak peek into the often unrepresented lives of America's growing undercover agents with Indian heritage.

No time is wasted in making the audience understand the movie’s base and construction. The cast includes actors like Jiju Nair, Praveen Kumar and Sindhu Nair and frankly speaking, no other actors could have brought a subject alive with their acting skills. If you love watching suspense movies, F A L L can give you a thrilling experience that forces the viewer to rewind again and again in intrigue. Creating a movie is no doubt a tough job, working upon an idea or a script and bring it alive deserves a lot of courage. And in the case of F A L L, the movie is masterfully blended with the wild imaginative possibilities abiding all technical aspects of filmmaking.

With a plot that revolves around the life of a former undercover operative Michael Williams, who’s deployed in tactical combat zones, the movie sets a strong impact in the minds of the audience. Upon returning from active duty, he finds himself battling demons on what he has done and what has been done to him. The main suspense of the story begins when the protagonist faces serious problems and has to take the help of a doctor. Produced by Three Eye Visuals, this short movie is impressive with the use of quality special effects, crisp editing and a fair dose of effective acting. Now the question is if the protagonist is a tough man, how come the suspense arrives? Why does he have to battle with the demons? How come he knows that his end is near? Surely, good movies are audience’s “film of choice” and instead of keep guessing and letting the magic disappear, just set yourself free and experience the depths of “a perfect storm” with ‘F A L L’. You’re gonna watch it again and again...
